Flowers are used in our services of worship to remind us of the beauty of God’s creation and that God created everything that lives.  They also remind us of the “Resurrection” which in itself is actually re-creation – being made alive again. Flowers also enhance the beauty of our Church and greatly contribute to the atmosphere in the building. Their significance is evident when we celebrate blessed occasions such as marriages and anniversaries and births.  A flower’s beauty and scent comforts us as we mourn and remember loved ones who have died.

At Philadelphia UMC, it has been our tradition to offer individuals, families and groups the opportunity to honor loved ones and recognize special occasions by purchasing and placing flowers in the sanctuary for services of worship.

If you wish to place flowers in the sanctuary, or find out more information about this ministry, please complete the Sanctuary Flowers Ministry Form including how you would like us to acknowledge the flowers in the Sunday Church Service bulletin.  We will check to see if the date requested is available and contact you with details about how to purchase and place the flowers on the selected date.
