Children's Choirs
Giving children the opportunity to explore their God-given gifts and passions in a welcoming space, among friends, and through fun and spiritually uplifting music is highly valued at Philadelphia United Methodist Church.
Performance allows the congregation, families and friends to see the spirit of the Lord shining brightly the through the talents of our children. Our children’s music ensembles typically perform several times in worship during the fall, winter and spring seasons, as well as performing Christmas and Spring concerts.
There are three children’s musical ensembles at PUMC:
Philly Chimes (3rd grade and up) – This is a hand-chime choir that rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:15-6pm and is led by Molli Moon.
Joyful Noize Vocal Choir (ages k-5) – This traditional choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15pm and is led by Rebecca Pollack.
Beginner Bells (k-2) – This younger bell choir rehearses from 5:15-5:45 each Wednesday, using smaller, colored-coded handbells, and is led by music director David Hodges.
If your child is interested in any of our children’s musical offerings, please don’t hesitate to fill out the interest form below, or simply show up to a Wednesday evening rehearsal! We’d love to have you!
