Sunday Morning Ministry: The act of worship pleases God and one way you can “worship in love” is to volunteer during services. It takes many volunteers to help our staff bring the word of God to our congregation and visitors each Sunday. Opportunities to serve include:
- Greeter: Greeters are those who welcome our congregation each Sunday morning by the entrances. An enthusiastic smile and willingness to answer questions assist guests in feeling welcomed within this community of faith.
- Usher: Assists with seating and passing of the offering plates.
- Video and sound monitors: Make sure the slides are in concurrence with the service and that the musicians and pastor’s microphones are on when needed.
- Children’s ministry: Lead or assist children from nursery to 5th grade during the service.
- Acolyte: Children K-5th grade are a part of the worship service in lighting and extinguishing the alter candles.
- Lay Reader: Guides the congregation through the beginning of the service including the opening prayer and scripture readings.
