Ash Wednesday is a solemn reminder of human mortality and the need for reconciliation with God. It marks the beginning of the Lenten season which ends on Easter. As you are comfortable, Pastor David will place ashes in the shape of a cross on your forehead. These are a reminder that Jesus died for our sins on the cross. The ashes are from the palms used at last year’s Palm Sunday.
